Do you want a cool and one-of-a-kind t-shirt? Why not design and print your own?

easy steps

With the use of an ordinary inkjet printer and your favorite graphic design software you can create your own personalize T-Shirt using iron on inkjet transfer paper technique. This process is simple and fun, you just need to follow some guidelines. So whether you are designing T-Shirts for your kids or for yourself, you can do it with ease and creativity.

Materials:

  • Iron
  • T-Shirt
  • Pillowcase
  • Smooth surface
  • Scissors
  • Inkjet printer
  • Iron on inkjet transfer paper

Steps:

1. Find or create an image you want to use for the transfer. You can scan an image into your computer, find one on the internet, or create one using Photoshop, CorelDraw, Illustrator or even Microsoft word.

2. Add text to your picture for a better impact. Pictures and text make for a great image on the T-Shirt.

3. Print the image in its mirrored form onto the transfer paper. Let it dry completely.

4. Cut out your design, leaving a considerable border.

5. Preheat the iron to the “cotton” setting. Lay a pillowcase on the ironing surface.

6. Place your garment on the pillowcase and pre-iron your garment to remove wrinkles.

7. Place the printed transfer sheet on the area where you want it to be printed. Place your printed image face down on the garment.

8. Iron on it for 20 seconds (or consult the manufacture’s instruction). Make sure you iron all over the image and not leave out the corners and edges. Use your strength and add weight and pressure to the iron.

9. Remove the iron and let the T-Shirt cool off. Do not try to pull off the paper till it has completely cooled off.

10. After ten minutes you can start peeling off the paper by pulling the paper with one hand and the T-Shirt from the other.

11. And your T-Shirt is ready.

Keep on creating and have fun.
