How to Create a Formless Glossy Button – 7 Step Photoshop Tutorial

Button is always a part of our hub, it could be formed as square, circle a bar or just a plain text. In this tutorial I will show you how to create a formless glossy button all you need to know is a basic knowledge in pen tool. When it comes to achieving a distinct shape, pen tool is a big help.
Step 1
Create a document with a background of your choice, as for me, the image look more appealing in black or white. By holding the keys together (Shift+Ctrl+N) you’ll get a new layer as result to this command, or just simply click Layer>New>Layer in menu bar. In this layer, look for pentool, using this tool, all you need to do is make a straight line by clicking the first one on the document and click where you want to end the line, you’ll get something like this: (more…)

This tutorial will show you how to convert a photo into a black and white with splashes of color using brush tool. This is a great technique for anyone who wants to add dynamic color effects and emphasize some part of a photograph.

I have here a photo taken from the recently concluded Bb. Pilipinas 2011 and our task is to highlight the newly crowned Binibining Pilipinas Universe Shamcey Supsup.

Here are the 5 easy steps:

1. Open a  photograph.

My tutorial for today will teach you simple processing tricks on how to adjust the depth of field of a photo using Photoshop.

Depth of field (DOF) is the distance between the nearest and farthest objects in a scene that appear acceptably sharp in an image (wikipedia.org). To do this normally you would have to know what aperture to use on a camera.  But with this tutorial you can just artificially lower the depth of field in Photoshop.
